Roof pitches of 3:12, 4:12, 5:12, or 6:12 work best for metal buildings if you live in a snowy climate country. Anything over a 6:12 pitch tends to make huge amounts of snow slide off the roof. Standing seam metal roofs, which permit snow to slide more easily, might do better with a 2:12 or 3:12 pitch. The other benefit of this formula is that insulation can be firmly pressed against the structures, without creating cracks.
